We collaborated with the Mendizabala Institute, an Integrated Vocational Training Center in Vitoria-Gasteiz, to develop the prototype of the reflectors for the streetlights of the Paseo de la Concha in Donostia-San Sebastián.
With the help of faculty and students, the Mechanical Design and Fabrication department has carried out the CAD design of the reflector and the welding and painting departments have collaborated together to achieve the best results. Lighting tests have also been conducted in the shop to choose the paint shade that best suits the existing light sources and endurance tests in the urban environment to ensure that the joint system would withstand the harsh weather conditions of the bay.
